Jhansi since we understand is a historical city

Historical Facts

Over the year many have asked how the name Jhansi came into picture than to answer this question we must picture an idealized stands of fort which was commissioned by Raja Bir Singh Deo, in 1613. As per the believe the stands of fort was so colossal and bemusing that Bundela ruler could only view a shadow of this fort from the distant hill and classifying an importance of the fort the region was labeled with the name of Jhansi and since then the place is renowned as Jhansi across the world.

Jhansi during the administrative call of Raja Bir Singh Deo maintained healthy relation with Mughal Empire and following the course of succession the city came under the rule of Maharaja Chattrasal Bundela of Panna who presented the city to Peshwa Baji Rao (I) in 1729. It was all good till that time but after Peshwa signed an agreement with the British East India Company everything went wrong and British annexed the whole Bundelkhand region within their colonial roof.

It was after an annexation of Jhansi Gangadhar Rao, became the administrator of Jhansi in 1838 and during his life he married Rani Lakshmi Bai and died childless. Following his barren empire British took a full advantage of the situation and denied Rani Lakshmi Bai all her right.

Jhansi at present is very much dominated by a chorological sequences and traveler hops in here from all across the world to witness an ever glorious stands of Jhansi fort. Beside that the wonders of Jhansi Museum, Rani Mahal and Chhatri of Gangadhar Rao adds more delight in Jhansi environment.
