» » Be Smart and Travel Light This Winter

Travelling light during the winter season without compromising on style is always a challenge. You cannot travel heavy, happy and cheap, all at the same time
. A good traveler is someone who knows how to travel light without compromising on the cold factor
. If you pack your luggage without planning it properly, you will end up dragging your huge bulk of luggage through airports, hotels and new cities. On the other hand, if you pack little you will find yourself hunting for shops in unfamiliar destinations for the things you have forgot to carry.

Smart and light packing will not only help you in travelling with freedom but also save you from paying extra fees for extra baggage. Here are some of the useful tips to make you travel like a professional traveler this winter season.

Choose Your Bag Smartly
Choosing the right bag for your travel is very important while travelling. Also do check your airline’s carry-on baggage restrictions to avoid extra fees, before opting for a particular suitcase to stuff your belongings.

Tip: The lucrative designs on the wheeled bags may allure you into carrying them.  The compact design of wheeled bags may lure you into carrying them. But these bags are deceptive, as they weigh several kilos and trick people into thinking that they do not require light packing.  There are several exclusive deigns that are brought out in the market every year, but you should stick to the style that suits you and at the same time weigh light.

Arrange Your Clothing Properly
Generally, the larger part of the luggage while travelling comprises of clothing, especially if you are travelling to colder destinations during the winters. You will definitely need to carry warm clothes and layering the clothes is the key factor.

Always carry thin long sleeve T-shirts in plenty along with few sweaters and cardigans, so that you can switch for alternate styles. Also keep in mind that you are carrying dark clothes that do not wrinkle easily. However, it is always a fun thing to go for shopping in your holiday destination, which will prompt you to pack less.

Tip: If you going spend most of your times outdoors, pack a base layer to keep your body and legs warm enough even during very cold climates. They do not require much room.

Go For Boots
Generally travelers who are travelling in winters agree on carrying two to three pairs of shoes. It is advisable to pick a pair of decent strong boots that will help you during hikes and also look good when you are going for a dinner. Choose the dark colored ones, which will not look dirty very quickly.

Tip: Boots take a large space in your luggage, so it will be wiser if you wear them instead. It is always better if you are wearing boots with zippers as they are quite easy to remove when required.

Wear Your Heaviest Clothes
Warm attires like coats, gloves and scarves help you feel comfortable during coldest days but they take large amount of space in your suitcase.  Act smartly and wear your heavy coat to the airport as it may also come handy during your flight. A warm coat can also be used as a pillow or a blanket if you need extra warmth during your travel.

Tip: In order to save some more space, you can stuff your hats and gloves in your coat’s pocket and tie your tie your scarf to your carry-on bag.

Pack Accessories
Do not forget to add accessories. Accessories like belts and jewelries are the main requirements for a woman’s attire.
